The Renaissance Cleveland Hotel offered a conference rate of $129 per night (one or two beds, one or two persons), throughout the conference period. For that rate, reservations had to have been made by February 9, 2004.

The phone number for the Renaissance Hotels and Resorts worldwide reservations is (800) 468-3571 (toll free). When making reservations, give the dates of the conference (March 10-14, 2004) and then cite the appropriate code: “ARS” (for ARSC) or “SAM.” Because a limited number of rooms is available for each organization, it is important that you indicate whether you want your reservation credited to ARSC or to SAM.

Hotel LobbySingle and double rooms were held for conference attendees, until February 9. The Renaissance reservations staff took requests and a confirmations were sent, via e-mail or postal mail, within one week after your call. The hotel is located on the southwest corner of Public Square, which is centered on the intersection of Superior Avenue and Ontario Street, in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The hotel has a pedestrian entrance on Public Square, but:

If arriving by car, use the hotel (and garage) entrances on Superior Avenue, at West 3rd Street.

If you take the public rapid-transit train from the airport (highly recommended), you’ll emerge from the train car on the lowest level of Tower City Center. You won’t need to go outdoors because the Renaissance hotel is connected to Tower City Center.
