Travel Information

If you're flying into Seattle via a commercial airline, you'll arrive and depart from Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport just south of the city. There are three easy options for transportation to and from the Red Lion.

  • The Shuttle Express will take you from Sea-Tac straight to the Red Lion for $26 one way. Go to their website or call 425-981-7000 for more information or to make reservations.
  • A cheaper alternative is the Gray Line of Seattle. The Gray Line buses will take you to the Sheraton hotel, which is only one block from the Red Lion. The cost is $10.25 one way or $17.00 round trip. Call 206-255-7159 or go to Gray Line's website to purchase tickets.
  • Taxi cabs are also available for approximately $30 one way.

Washington has the largest ferry fleet in the world, and the many boats traveling in and out of Seattle offer excellent opportunities for sightseeing as well as transportation. Vessels of the Washington State Ferries fleet dock in downtown Seattle and travel to Bremerton and Bainbridge Island. The view of Seattle from a returning ferry at sunset is spectacular.

For those wishing to visit Victoria, British Columbia, the Victoria Clipper high speed passenger ferries arrive and depart throughout the day. It is suggested that you bring a passport to expedite your entry to and return from Canada.

If you plan on traveling around the Seattle area by car, the state Department of Transportation provides handy traffic flow information on their web site.
