Travel and Weather Information
Travel by Air:
The Pittsburgh International Airport is approximately 19 miles from the hotel. The airport is serviced by Air Canada, American, Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest, United, and USAir. For more information about flights or the airport, visit the airport website at www.flypittsburgh.com.
Ground Transportation & Shuttle Service:
There are numerous companies that offer ground transportation services from the airport to the Westin Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh. Taxi Service:
Taxi service between the Pittsburgh International Airport and the Westin hotel is approximately $38.00 plus gratuity one way. Taxi service is available at the curb on the lower level of the terminal just outside Baggage Claim.
SuperShuttle:
The Westin Convention Center hotel is served by SuperShuttle. SuperShuttle is offering a conference discount for transportation to & from the Pittsburgh International Airport and the Westin Convention Center, valid between May 23 - June 3. Public Transportation:
The Port Authority's 28X Airport Flyer shuttle is only $3.75 one way (exact change required). Buses depart the airport approximately every 30 minutes from the Main Terminal Door 6, and travel time is approximately 45 minutes to downtown Pittsburgh. The downtown stop nearest the Westin is at 7th & Penn, which is two blocks from the hotel. On the return trip to the airport, board the bus at 7th & Smithfield. Parking:
On-site hotel valet and self-service parking is available for $24 and $20 per night respectively. There is also off-site parking one block away (11th & Penn) for $13 per day and five blocks away (15th & Smallman) for $6 per day. Prices are subject to change.
Amtrak:
The Pittsburgh Amtrak station is located at 1100 Liberty Avenue, two blocks from the Westin. Amtrak's Pennsylvanian travels from New York's Penn Station via Newark and Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, while the Capitol Limited connects Washington DC to Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Chicago.
