Hotel and Travel Informatin is Now Available
The 2017 ARSC conference will be held in downtown San Antonio at the Menger Hotel, situated next to the Alamo Mission, better known as the site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. Founded in 1859 during the early of the Texas frontier and enlarged over the years, the Menger is listed on the Nationdaysal Register of Historic Places. The deadline to make reservations at the ARSC group rate is April 17, 2017.
And whether you prefer to drive, fly, or take Amtrak's Texas Eagle from Los Angelas, Chicago, or New Orleans (recommended if you've got the time!), you'll find guidance for planning your travels here.

2016 ARSC Awards for Excellence Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 ARSC Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research! ARSC Awards are given to authors of books, articles or recording liner notes to recognize those publishing the very best work today in recorded sound research. In giving these awards, ARSC recognizes the contributions of these individuals and aims to encourage others to emulate their high standards and to promote readership of their work. ARSC Grants for Preservation of Classical Music Historical Recordings Applications are now being accepted! Grants generally range from $2,000 to $10,000 are available for projects to preserve and promote access to recordings. The deadline for applications is December 15th. Introducing ARSCLIB: The ARSC Library and Archives Electronic Discussion List! ARSCLIB has been created to be a forum for discussing issues of concern to individuals who are responsible for caring for recorded sound collections within institutions.
